There are many National Parks such as:

Yala National Park: Yala National Park covers nearly 500 sq miles is the biggest National Park in Srilanka. The Park is located in the southeast of the island about 200 miles from Colombo . The park is divided into Yala West and Yala East. Apart from elephants, sloth bear, many deer (mouse, barking, spotted etc.), monkeys, mongoose and crocodiles, and a wide range of birds, Yala West National Park is probably one of the best places in the world to see and photograph leopards (there are about 35 leopards in the park).
