The Itinerary

Day01: Arrive Colombo You will be met at the airport and transferred to Negombo.
Check in at Rani Beach Resort Hotel and relax.  For morning arrivals in the afternoon you can enjoy a sightseeing tour of Negombo which is in the heart of Sri Lanka's fishing industry. Overnight stay at Rani Beach Resort Hotel – Negombo 


Day02: Pinnawala/Sigiriya
Morning departure for Pinnawala elephant orphanage. See the elephants being cared for, fed, trained and bathed. Proceed from Pinnawala to Sigiriya. Climb the Sigiriya rock fortress, built in the 5th Century AD and rising 200 meters. Visit the frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, approached by a spiral stairway. Overnight stay at Giritale Hotel near Sigiriya


Day03: Polonnaruwa
Morning departure to Polonnaruwa, built in the 11th and 12th Centuries AD. Visit the many ruins found here. Rest of the day at leisure, stay overnight at Giritale Hotel.


Day04: Dambulla/Matale/Kandy

Morning departure for Dambulla Rock Temple, Sri Lanka's most impressive cave temple which contains many paintings and carvings. Travel from Dambulla to Kandy via Matale. In Matale visit a spice garden to see how they are grown and processed. Continue from Matale to Kandy, the former Sri Lankan capital. Drive around the lake, built in 1798 and visit Kandy town and its many attractions. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Stay overnight at Serene Garden Hotel - Kandy

Day05: Peradeniya

Morning visit to Peradeniya on the outskirts of Kandy visiting the 147-acre botanical gardens. Return from Peradeniya to Kandy and continue with a city tour of Kandy. Stay overnight at Serene Garden Hotel - Kandy

Day06: Nuwara Eliya

Morning departure for Nuwara Eliya. Enroute visit a Tea Factory/Plantation. Visit Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka's most popular hill resort and heart of Sri Lanka's tea country. Stay overnight at Oakray Summerhill breeze Hotel – Nuwara Eliya

Day07: Nuwara Eliya/Kitulgala/Negombo
After breakfast depart from Nuwara Eliya for Colombo, on the way visit Kitulgala the location for the filming of the movie ''Bridge on the River Kwai''.
