Cultural Triangle Map

Day01: Negombo/ Pinnawala/ Polonnaruwa
You will be collected from the Negombo Hotel 6,30AM departure for Pinnawala elephant orphanage. See the elephants being cared for, fed, trained and bathed. Proceed from Pinnawala to Polonnaruwa built in the 11th and 12th Centuries AD. Visit the many ruins found here stay overnight at Giritale Hotel - Giritale

Day 02: Sigiriya/ Dambulla/Kandy
Morning departure for Kandy on the way climb the Sigiriya rock fortress, built in the 5th Century AD and rising 200 meters. Visit the frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, approached by a spiral stairway then travel to Dambulla Rock Temple, Sri Lanka's most impressive cave temple which contains many paintings and carvings. Travel from Dambulla to Kandy via Matale. In Matale visit a spice garden to see how they are grown and processed. Continue from Matale to Kandy. In the evening see the cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Stay overnight at Serene Garden Hotel OR Devon Hotel - Kandy


Day 03: Kandy/Negombo
In the morning Drive around the lake, built in 1807 and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic it is one of the best Buddhist temples in the Island and visit the Botanical Garden in Kandy which is 60 hectares big. There are opportunities to visit a Batik factory wood, carving factory, Gem museums and work shop and the then travel back to Negombo for your final destination.

End of the Tour.

Note: This tour can be started from the South if required.  The tour will need to start a little earlier and the cost will be slightly higher to cover the additional mileage.
